An example about how to use templates : You often get files from the tracker X. This one has specific ratio limitations you must comply to if you don't wonna be banned. This tracker handles several types of files. The ones you're interested in are open source softwares and landscape pictures. You would like to have these downloads sorted according to those 2 types. 1 - Open the template editor. 2 - Create a template called "trackerX" with the following informations : Label : call it TrX. Keep this short, you will have it displayed in the torrent list (if you want so). Up : Fix these options to match your bandwidth. Down : Fix these options to match your bandwidth. Seed : Set the options to match the ratio limitations of the tracker. Times : Set the timouts to match the characteristics of the tracker. if you know for instance the tracker has some slugginess with connections, set the value for the connection timeout accordingly. If you don't know anything about this, just untick the "Set timeouts" check box at the top of the tab (so the timeouts will keep their values from the default template). Move : Don't use it, unless you would like to move all the files from this tracker to a specific folder. But we would like to have more, that is sorting the files (pictures and softwares). So untick the "Set move folder" checkbox. Activ. : Untick this. This has no meaning for a template dedicated to a tracker. 3 - Save your template with "Apply for selected" 4 - Now we are creating 2 templates to move softwares and pictures to their respective folders. Open the template editor. 5 - Create a template called "pictures" Unset all the tabs except the tab "Moving" in which you enter the folder you wish your picture files to be moved to. 6 - Save your template with "Apply for selected" 7 - Create a template called "softwares" Unset all the tabs except the tab "Moving" in which you enter the folder you wish your software files to be moved to. 8 - Save your template with "Apply for selected" 9 - Click on OK to close the template editor. 10 - Open ABC Tweak and make it display the short label (by default Sh.Label) column. Now when you load into ABC torrents from the tracker X : Select them in the list, right click on them and choose the template "trackerX". All your torrents are now configured with correct seeding ratio and connection characteristics. From all these torrents, select the ones that are pictures, right click on them and select the template "pictures". Now all the files from these torrents will go to the folder for pictures. Do the same with software torrents and the "softwares" template. The short label in the torrent list will keep the 'TrX' information to remind you of the source of the torrents. Right clicking on some of these torrents will show you at the top of the popup menu the name of the last assigned template (pictures or softwares). This information can also be displayed in the torrent list with the column "Label". To learn how to automatically apply a template to a torrent when it's added to the torrent list, read §9 in ABC_OKC documentation.
